  WHAT IS CIRQADIA?

Circus and aerial arts performers share movement mechanics with well-studied athletes. An aerialist and pole athlete shares movement and injury patterns with pro baseball pitchers. A hand-to-hand acrobat has the same shoulder mechanics as a rock climber. An aerialist's spinal compression maps directly to patterns documented in gymnastics and swimming.

Decades of injury, rehabilitation, and prevention research exist for those sports. Almost none exists for circus.

CIRQADIA builds the translation layer. An AI system that maps circus and aerial arts injury patterns to analogous movements in well-funded sports, and returns clinically relevant output for a population that currently has no equivalent resource.

  WHERE THIS CAME FROM

CIRQADIA is being built by a working circus and performing arts professional.

Not someone who observed this gap from the outside. Someone who did the cross-referencing manually. Looked up the sports medicine literature. Found the analogues. Applied them. And then asked the obvious question: why does no tool exist that does this?

The performing arts workforce is an international industry of professional bodies generating almost no usable health data. Circus injury rates sit between 7 and 10 per 1,000 artist-exposures. Injury concealment rates exceed those of professional basketball. There is no clinical resource designed for this population anywhere.

CIRQADIA exists to change that, starting with what is already known.
